Many of our intramural referees are certified with the U.S. Soccer Federation as a "Grade 9 Referees" (for NJ Youth Soccer’s description of the Grade 9 Referee program, click here). To qualify as a Grade 9 Referee, you need to successfully complete the eight-hour USSF course.
SHSC also offers its own introductory referee course before the fall season for all new referees.

NJ Referee License Courses
The New Jersey Referee Committee have published the sites & dates of Referee License Courses at www.njrefs.com. Any interested persons should apply as soon as possible since these courses fill very quickly.
