Future squad posts perfect season

The Somerset Hills Soccer Club’s U8 Future squad picked up where they left off in the fall, finishing the spring season unbeaten with a 7-0-1 record.

The team’s only tie of the season came against Millburn as it they battled to a 1-1 deadlock. Meghan Convery scored the tying goal late in the second half.

Future goalies Eleanor Taylor, Convery, Elise Cohan and Lindsay Reed held Millburn to just one goal. The future dominated their opposition all season long allowing only two goals, while scoring 34.

The offense was lead by Convery, Erin Keefe, Emma Wightman, Megan Horn, Lucie Scaglione, Sadie Nelson and Maddie Gibbons, while the defense was anchored by the play of Reed, Cohan, Taylor, Sammy Weyrauch and Katie Arrigan.


The squad was unbeaten in 10 games during its fall campaign.
