Alexa Farrell opened scoring with a powerful shot from about 10 yards out. Lightning scored 4 more goals; 2 from Madison Lui, and one each from Caitlyn Laffey and Annie Thomas to end the 1st half 5-0. Flemington Illusion opened the 2nd half with 2 goals in rapid succession. The game then settled into a midfield battle for the remainder of the 3rd Quarter. In the 4th quarter, team Lightning broke their 2nd half drought with a goal from Annie Thomas off an assist by Madison Lui. Lightning ran a strong defense thanks in part to Brynn McKeon and Madison Mitzner. Nicole Picardo, Jessica Caruso, Ally Lindsey, Allie Matthias and Regan Chatwin put in valuable minutes in midfield.
