Maddy Lui dribbled through to the right side of the box, turned and fired a goal in the 8th minute to put the Lightning up 1-0. Annie Thomas notched the team's second goal in the 14th minute, and at halftime held a 2-0 lead. Lightning struck for 2 more in the second half thanks to goals from Annie Thomas and Caitlyn Laffey. Lightning's midfield did a great job keeping the ball in the opposition's half thanks to oustanding efforts from Allie Matthias and Alexa Farrell.
